yourFIT - Classes
yourFIT hosts classes at various locations each week. Classes are currently offered in Boxercise and Circuit Training:
BOXERCISE

Boxercise, the best stress buster around, is one of the most effective forms of cross-training available today.
Boxercise is the latest and best exercise to empower women and get men back into the studio.
The workout uses the entire body. Cardiovascularly you burn more calories in an hour than using a stairclimber. Boxercise combines use of both aerobic and anaerobic energy systems with the systematic recruitment of both fast and slow twitch muscle fibres in a manner that not only ensures a diverse workout, but also enhances sports specific senses, including hand-eye co-ordination, balance and timing. Boxercise classes are always fun, energetic and addictive. Correct technique takes practice and good instruction.
A Boxercise class can incorporate many components, depending on the strengths and personality of the Boxercise Instructor taking the class. So every class is different and exciting.
One of the favourite class formats is a circuit style class including boxing style stations, such as the Focus Pads, Punch Bag, Skipping Ropes, Medicine Ball and other more general exercises found in a good circuit class.
CIRCUITS
Circuit training is used to combine the major principles of a good training session into a continuous workout, namely cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength/endurance and flexibiltiy. The advantages of this are twofold: The level of intensity of your workout is increased and the duration of your workout is reduced. Therefore you achieve a harder than usual workout in a shorter space of time.Perfect for busy lives and those who do not wish to train for an hour and a half at a time.
Every circuit class comprises of work with resistance equipment (bodybars/dumbells/kettlebells etc) to improve muscular strength/edurance and cardio equipment (stepping/skipping/running) to improve heart and lung conditioning and burn fat. Each class is followed by a period of stretching to aid range of movement at the joints and reduce the delayed onset of muscle soreness.
